Our Mission
“BOLT is a service organization whose purpose is to create a platform for Biomedical Engineering students to affect a positive change in the K-12 community by developing and implementing programs that promote higher education and stimulate interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in young students.”
President - Nour Beshir
Nour is a junior BME from Dallas, Texas. She has loved being a part of the BOLT family and excited to be an officer this year! She likes running and watching the Great British Baking show in her free time.​ Nour is a Track 2 pre-med student.
VP Science Clubs - Niki Holmberg
Niki is a sophomore BME from Waxahachie, TX and plans the science clubs. This includes organizing the activities, car-pooling, and contacting the schools. Her hobbies include barre and googling, She is a Track 2 BME in route for Pre-Pharmacy.
VP Annual Events - Shireen Pathak
Nour is a sophomore BME from Dallas, Texas. She is in charge of organizing events that BOLT is represented in for the university. She likes dancing, exploring coffee shops, and binging TV shows in her free time. Shireen is a Track 3 student.
Secretary - Nelson Crosby
Nelson is a sophomore BME from Houston, TX and is in charge of running the instagram and creating the newsletters. He enjoys cooking and hiking in his free time. He is a Track 3 BME student.
Treasurer- Audrey Livingston
Audrey is a senior BME from Houston, Texas. She is in charge of making the budget, designing the merch, and applying for funding. She enjoys cooking, drinking matcha, and reading in her free time. She is a Track 2 BME going into industry.
Social Chair - Andres Luengo
Andres is a junior BME from Houston, TX. He is in charge of planning the socials and the meeting activities. He enjoys cooking and working out in his free time. He is planning to go to grad school after graduating.
​Freshman Liaison - Ruchi Birur
Ruchi is a freshmen BME from Dallas, Texas. She is in charge of creating socials for freshmen and creating a safe community for them. Her hobbies include watching TV shows, gardening and hiking. She is a potentially track 3 BME student.
